Niton Street

A complete refurbishment of this elegant townhouse was preceded by substantial alterations and an extension of the existing second floor. With an especially challenging layout, Emma incorporated the client’s requirements for the new master bathroom, previously a bedroom. The restrictions included two doorways, a window and a chimney breast. Working around these issues, Emma creatively inserted a double basin within the small space left by the old fireplace and commissioned some beautifully tailored bathroom joinery. Excelling at finding spare space in a house, a bespoke desk doubling as a handmade dresser was designed as a home office in the kitchen. Additional storage and a neat laundry room with a stacked washing machine and dryer was drawn out of the space rarely well used under the main staircase.
